Safe Sleep Practices
In the first year, SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death) prevention begins with following the American Academy of Pediatrics evidence-based guidelines for safe sleeping practices for infants.
On their back, in their own space with a firm, flat mattress and fitted sheet. All loose soft materials kept outside the sleep area. Nonsmoking household. Temperature monitored for safety and comfort of infant.

We follow baby's lead & home schedule.
Babies don’t follow adult routine changes. I want to help your baby transition to care in the easiest way possible by continuing any home schedule you may be following as closely as possibly in the care environment. Of course, things are unpredictable with infants and things rarely stay 100% “on schedule” but I listen carefully to your observations prior to enrolling your child and monitor baby’s cues to keep them comfortable throughout the night.

No Cry-It-Out
If your baby has a need throughout the night, please understand that I will never leave them crying without soothing, feeding, changing, etc. appropriately. These early months are when your infant is learning to trust the world and having a caregiver that responds quickly and warmly is of the utmost importance.
