Birth through age 3 is called a critical period for a reason

Baby’s brain is forming over a million new neural connections per minute during these years. Without the right stimulation, some abilities may never fully develop.

As a doctoral-level psychology student and experienced child advocate, brain growth and development is always on the forefront of my mind when working with young children.

Science shows that warm, responsive relationships with caregivers and exposure to positive, stimulating experiences are two of the best ways to set the foundation for a healthy life.

The importance of attunement in infant care

Attunement is a term for when a caregiver is present, aware, and responsive to a baby’s needs. It requires an understanding of the child's unique temperament, developmental level, sensitivities, and reactions to situations. The caregiver mirrors and matches the baby’s expressions and responds to cries, teaching the baby that their needs and feelings will be attended to, setting the stage for future emotional regulation and self-expression.

We provide attuned, individualized care that responds to and accommodates your baby’s specific needs, schedule, and preferences for a smooth transition to daycare.
